Science Writing

During my undergraduate studies, I enrolled in Science Writing. The goal of the course was to teach students how to transfer information from experts to laymen of all ages. The course was extremely insightful; I learned how much knowledge and understanding goes into helping others understand a specific topic or idea. For instance, below you will find two documents regarding information about bees. However, the audience I was first attempting to reach is the four and five year olds that attend the Guided Discovery Program at the Treasure Valley YMCA. As you will be able to see, the information is minimal yet direct and a multitude of colors are present. The second audience that I was attempting to reach are adults. I wrote an explainer piece, describing bees' importance.
